My stay at the Karma Royal Monterio was truly enjoyable. the location was perfect, just a short walk to Baga beach and other popular spots. The rooms were spacious and clean, but I felt the furniture could use updating. Overall, the ambiance was peaceful and relaxing, which I appreciated during my vacation.

The rooms were spacious and neat. they upheld the brand's signature style. However, I noticed that the furniture seemed dated. it might be time for an update to match the modern amenities.

The staff was incredibly courteous and attentive. always ready to help with a smile. There seemed to be a slight delay in service during peak times, which affected my overall experience a bit.
Location

I loved the resort's location. nestled in thick greenery and just a 10-minute walk from Baga beach. It was quiet yet close to vibrant spots like Britto's and Anthony's restaurant.
Dining
9.0
The food was good. with a good variety of options and quality drinks. I enjoyed indulging in both local dishes and Italian products offered at the resort.
Facilities

While the amenities were good, the overall experience was marred slightly by the slow service during peak times. The kitchen was well-equipped for quick meals though.

During my stay at Karma Royal Monterio, I faced several issues, including poorly maintained furniture and a detached toilet seat. However, the location was beautiful, overlooking the Arpora River, and the friendly staff made for a nice atmosphere.
Rooms
5.0
The furniture in the room was in bad shape, with torn upholstery and fixtures that needed updating. I expected better given the price I paid.
Service
8.0
The staff were always smiling and eager to assist, but unfortunately, their efforts couldn't address the maintenance issues I encountered.
Location
8.0
The resort is located on a hill, which offers stunning views of the surrounding greenery and is just a short distance from Baga Beach. However, the steep paths could be an issue for older guests.
Dining
5.0
While the dining options included some tasty sandwiches, I found the absence of staple items in the mini store disappointing.
Facilities

The two swimming pools were well-maintained, although one was closed for renovation during my visit. The fitness paths around the resort were invigorating, but the narrow roads can be inconvenient.

Breakfast was good, especially the muffins, which my kids absolutely loved. The options, including fish, were pretty good too.

My stay at Monterio in Baga was a mixed experience. The location was great, just a short walk to the buzzing Baga beach and nestled in lush greenery. However, the reception area felt a bit cramped, and I noticed some maintenance issues that could be improved.
Rooms
6.0
The rooms were reasonably furnished, but the furniture seemed dated, reminiscent of styles from 20 years ago. it definitely needs an update to enhance the overall appeal.
Service

The staff was friendly and cooperative, especially Vasant, who was very helpful during our stay. yet I felt there were some gaps in training, particularly among the maintenance crew.
Location
8.0
The resort's location was fantastic, with the famous Saturday night markets and numerous eateries nearby. being in a peaceful area but close to the vibrant beach was a major plus.

The complex had two swimming pools that were well-kept and provided a great place to relax. although some maintenance practices were slightly concerning, like laborers entering occupied units for cleaning tasks.

My stay was a mixed bag. While I appreciated the friendly reception staff and the decent food, the overall experience was disappointing due to outdated rooms and unfortunate noise issues. I found myself longing for a more comfortable environment, especially given the promises made by the promotional team.
Rooms
5.0
The room felt outdated, and I dealt with a noisy air conditioner. The lack of an exhaust fan made the bathroom uncomfortably humid. Not great for a relaxing stay.
Service
5.0
Although the reception staff were friendly, the overall service was slow. I often saw just one or two servers in the restaurant, which made dining less enjoyable.
Location
6.0
The resort is nestled in thick greenery and provides proximity to the beach and the Saturday Night Market. Yet, it was on a hill, which can be a challenge if you're not keen on physical activity.
Dining
6.0
I enjoyed the homemade Belgian waffles, but the lack of buffet breakfast options was disappointing. Service was slow, which detracted from the dining experience.
Facilities
5.0
The facilities felt dated, and the furniture looked like it hadn't changed in decades. I expected more modern amenities, especially for a resort.
